Kid goat hair is relatively fine, semi flexible, straight, and approximately 1.75″ long on average. It lends itself well for wing posts on large Steelhead flies and Atlantic Salmon flies, like Bombers, wakers and as an alternative to calf body hair. Compared to calf body hair it is slightly longer and straighter. It is a great material for Bomber wings. It is also a good material for more traditional types of wings that require a “buggy” look or as a replacement for buck tail in smaller sizes. Kid Goat hair is available in white and comes in 3″ x 3″ patches.
